From 16 to 18 October 2026, Lecco celebrates its vertical soul with three days of talks, climbing, exhibitions and leading…
Lake Como East Side is a hotel group set in Malgrate, on the eastern shore of Lake Como.
Founded by Fabio Dadati in 2012, it brings together the boutique design hotel Casa sull’Albero, the 4-star luxury Hotel Promessi Sposi, Lisander restaurant, Da Giovannino bistro & pizza, People Cocktail Bar, and HPSA Spa Comfort Zone.
Hotel Promessi Sposi is a 4-star luxury hotel with 70 rooms and suites, and the true benchmark for hospitality on the eastern shore of Lake Como. It’s the oldest hotel in the area, originally built in the second half of the 19th century, and has been completely renovated, reopening its doors in April 2023.
The new hotel has a very special, somewhat hidden charm. It’s defined by Italian design furnishings, carefully curated artworks, and smart technology that puts the guest at the centre while respecting the environment.
Its food and wine vocation offers a rich, varied dining experience that brings real value to every stay.
Set on the Malgrate lakeside promenade, along the road from Lecco to Bellagio, the hotel combines its historic 19th-century building with contemporary spaces, terraced areas, a rooftop garden, and a large underground garage with Tesla, Porsche, and Volkswagen destination charging.
There’s also a 50-seat meeting room featuring a professional 98-inch screen and an advanced video conferencing system, set in a private environment with natural light and panoramic views, plus an event space for up to sixty guests.
The Casa sull’Albero, or Tree House, is a beautiful and unique design & boutique hotel overlooking Lake Como that makes understated beauty and sustainability its core values.
Built in 2013, it consists of 12 rooms/suites, bar and restaurant, gym, SPA, outdoor pool, meeting area, a park featuring centuries-old trees, private parking with charging stations for TESLA and other electric cars, e-bikes for hire.
Located within the elegant Hotel Promessi Sposi, Lisander stands out as an exclusive fine dining restaurant with just 20 seats, where culinary excellence meets the elegance of its surroundings.
Here, both hotel guests and occasional visitors can dive into the authentic tastes of Italian cuisine, carefully selected according to the seasons to ensure the highest quality.
Chef Roberto Pirelli leads the kitchen with a modern and captivating vision, offering a gastronomic experience that spans various culinary traditions, ensuring an unforgettable journey through flavors.
“I am excited to begin this new adventure at Lisander. I will bring with me the passion for food and its history, enhancing the gastronomic roots and their evolutions over time. The goal is to offer guests an experience that tells the authentic flavors, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch.” – Chef Roberto Pirelli
Inside the Hotel Promessi Sposi, we wanted to create an elegant and modern cocktail bar on two levels, on the ground floor with the exciting fireplace room and on the outdoor rooftop terrace of the hotel, which boasts a uniquely beautiful view.
“People” will offer international breakfasts according to the standard of the hotel, a delicate and refined internal pastry, aperitifs prepared by our barmen, accompanied by snacks designed by our chef, Roberto Pirelli, as well as for lunches and dinners where you can enjoy dishes high quality but at the same time light and fast.
The Da Giovannino Bistrot with Pizza is located in the most beautiful location of the eastern branch of Lake Como, on the lakefront of Malgrate, in front of the Hotel Promessi Sposi, and offers a unique and exciting view at all times during the year.
Already featured in the first Michelin Red Guide in 1956, today it offers refined Italian cuisine where each dish is studied and prepared with passion and love by Chef Gaetano Di Palma.
Alongside the cuisine, the gourmet pizza completes the gastronomic experience proposal of the Da Giovannino bistrot with pizza.
The bistrot restaurant overlooks the lake, with a large window that offers an unparalleled view every day. During the summer, the outdoor terrace takes center stage, and the design décor offers an elegant and convivial atmosphere.
Custom-made curtains made of iron wire and fabric allow for private spaces ideal for private events or business dinners, while ensuring the unparalleled view.
“My cuisine stems from respect for raw materials and the desire to tell, through each dish, the history and authentic flavors of our territory. Tradition and innovation are not opposites, but complementary parts of a journey that aims to surprise while remaining faithful to the roots of our gastronomic culture.” – Chef, Gaetano Di Palma
There’s the Lake Como you see from the shore. And then there’s the Lake Como that reveals itself only when you’re on the water.
The villas that open up to the lake, revealing themselves to those who sail by. The villages that look like paintings from a distance. The silence you never find on land—not even in the quietest spots.
Our Cranchi E30 awaits at our private pier, just steps from the hotel. Space for up to eight guests from your private party, a captain who knows every hidden corner worth seeing, and no one else on board but you.
Departing from Malgrate, spend two hours cruising the eastern branch to Varenna and Bellagio, passing Villa Monastero and Villa Melzi. Or take a full day to stop wherever you like, lunch on the water, swim in a spot that feels like it’s yours alone. An aperitivo at sunset, with the mountains turning violet.
Six tours to choose from, from ninety minutes to a full day. Every outing is private. Different experiences, each designed to match what you’re looking for. Because the best way to see the lake is your way.
HPS SPA Comfort Zone brings together the setting of an international 4-star luxury hotel and a partnership with Comfort Zone—an Italian, science-led, sustainable spa experience where professional treatments, advanced formulations, and sensory rituals work in harmony to regenerate skin, body, and mind.
Spread across two connected levels, from the second to the third floor, you’ll find the spa reception, single and double treatment rooms, changing rooms, and the Technogym fitness area. From there, you ascend to the wet area, featuring a sauna, steam bath, experiential showers, ice cascade, hydrotherapy pool, loungers and pouf chairs, and a tea corner—all framed by a long, expansive glass wall opening onto a furnished garden with chairs and tables. The view is deeply relaxing and utterly immersive: the lake, the mountains, nature, and the town on the opposite shore.

A lake loved for the particularity of the two branches, the surrounding mountains, the green of the woods mirroring in its water, the mild climate, its unique villages, art and culture, sport.

The western branch, which ends in the city of Como, the eastern branch that, once arrived in the town of Lecco, returns to be the Adda river and then lake Garlate and Olginate and after there river again.

The eastern branch of Lake Como, where Lake Como East Side is located, is the most authentic and preserved by mass tourism, amazing for the surrounding high mountains of dolomitic nature reaching up to over 2,400 meters of height: the Grigne, paradise of hiking lovers and rock climbers.

Beautiful trails immersed in the woods of the mountains of the eastern shore of Lake Como offering landscapes of uncomparable beauty.

The village of Malgrate looks at Lecco with its lake and peaks that encircle it with a glance that takes your breath away.

Lecco, home of the writer Alessandro Manzoni, who deciced to set his Italian literature masterpiece in his city: The Betrothed.

Villages and great cultural sites, just think of the ancient Romanesque Abbey of San Pietro al Monte, the ferry of Leonardo da Vinci on the Adda river, the medieval village of Corenno Plinio, Varenna and the close hamlet of Pescarenico in Lecco.

Industrial culture and history like that of Moto Guzzi in Mandello del Lario, which still fascinates motorcyclists from all over the world with its timeless models.

Lecco and Malgrate are located in a very lucky position: a step away from Milan, just 40 minutes by train and by car, a fifteen minutes drive from the ski area of Piani di Bobbio with its 40 kilometers of slopes, unless one hour from Switzerland.
